What's included?

Strategy development is, by its nature, tailored to each organisation's specific communications objectives but a strategy development project may include:

Briefing call

A 30-minute call to discuss your needs before we get going. During this call, we'll make sure we're clear about expected project outputs and will have the opportunity to answer any questions you might have.

Brand audit and competitor research

A review of what your organisation is already doing well, where you could improve and how you fit into the competitor landscape.

Strategy workshop

A one or two-hour workshop with key stakeholders to discuss objectives, brainstorm potential tactics and fine-tune our recommended strategy recommendations.

Identifying target audiences and publications

Based on your communications objectives, confirming exactly who your target audience is and how to reach them.

PR strategy development

Development of a PR strategy document based on your brief.


One or two rounds of amends based on your feedback.



Why do you show 'starting at' prices rather than exact costs?

Each of my clients is different and has unique needs. As such, all my quotes are bespoke and take into account factors such as the length and complexity of the project, deadlines and levels of research involved. If you'd like to discuss a quote for your project, please get in touch.

Your full PR strategy service is out of my price range. Do you offer other services at a lower price point?

Yes. A full PR strategy is a big piece of work and is priced accordingly. If this service is out of your budget, you might be interested in my DIY PR resources (which include PR plan templates) or a PR Power Hour.

What if we have a really big project that's too much for one person?

The great thing about working in the for-purpose sector is that there are several brilliant other freelancers working in the same space and I have a great network. We see each other as friends and collaborators rather than competition. This means if I don't have capacity, I can recommend someone else or work with another suitable freelancer (or several) to get the project done.

What's your day rate?

I don't charge using a day rate or by word count. Instead, I offer package pricing and all my quotes are bespoke depending on the type, length, timings and complexity of your project. We'll agree the price before I start work and, if my quoted fee is out of your range, we can reduce the scope of work before getting started. Having a clear fee for the agreed deliverables means you know exactly where you stand and there are no nasty budget surprises if something takes longer than we anticipated.

Will you implement the PR strategy once it's complete?

No, implementation is not part of the package unless specifically agreed in our contract. However, if you do require implementation support, I might be able to recommend someone so feel free to ask.

Are you insured?

Yes. I have professional indemnity insurance with Beazley.

Do you charge VAT?

No. I do not currently charge VAT on my services.
