About Me

About Me

I am a freelance journalist specialising in scuba, marine and eco /sustainable travel features. I am currently based in Tofo Beach, Mozambique, so will be particularly focused on Africa-related stories.

I’m published regularly in leading scuba diving magazine Diver, MTV.co.uk and online responsible travel magazine Ecophiles among other publications. I am currently available for commissions and can also provide copywriting and PR support if required.

Feel free to drop me a line if you’d like to discuss possible feature ideas or ways of working together.

I’ve lived and worked in Melbourne, watched sunrise over Ankor Wat, swam with whale sharks in Mozambique, driven a TukTuk 3,500km across India and am always on the lookout for the next exciting adventure. That’s why I’m currently living in Mozambique where I’m volunteering with the Marine Megafauna Foundation.

I qualified as a PADI scuba diver in the Great Barrier Reef several years ago and have since dived in a variety of locations around the world – from the Farne Islands in the UK to Cuba, Grand Cayman, Nevis, Thailand, Sipadan (Borneo), Fiji, Aliwal Shoal (South Africa), Grenada and more! I’m now a regular contributor to Diver magazine and, as well as diving, am interested in marine life, conservation and the environment.

I’m available for commissions, copywriting support, proofreading and PR consultancy. If you think there’s a way we might be able to work together, please get in touch!

“Twenty years ago you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

I’m always happy to hear from destinations and tour operators to discuss feature opportunities, particularly those with a scuba diving slant, or to editors and publications about freelance contributions and working together.
